This is not your regular food tour, this is an experience that goes beyond that! If you’re the kind of traveler who steps into a new country wanting to understand how locals really live, where they shop, what they cook, and where they eat, this tour was made for you. About the guide: Hello, I’m Mariana, your guide and proud alfacinha (that’s what we call people born and raised in Lisbon). Showing people around Lisbon is one of my favorite things to do and I started doing that through food 3 years ago by being a food guide and having a food blog where I share Portuguese Traditions and all the best restaurants in the city. I’ve always been a foodie, from cooking with my grandma to exploring every hidden corner of Lisbon, and I truly believe food is the most genuine way to discover a culture. At least it’s my favourite way to also discover other countries. What to expect: On this tour, we’ll experience Lisbon like a local. We’ll wander through traditional food stores, meet the people behind them, many of whom have kept their shops alive for generations, and taste our way through some of my favorite spots, ranging from classic spots to hidden gems. We’ll even do a little shopping experience along the way picking up the best foodie souvenirs (all travel-safe, of course). In total, we will enjoy nine delicious stops that tell the story of Lisbon through its flavors, ingredients, and people. Yes, we’ll walk a bit, but trust me, with so much food, it will feel nice!
